Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing well. Fold in chopped apples.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Place on prepared baking sheets and flatten slightly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on wire racks.
