- 1 pound Italian sausage or ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the sausage or beef in a skillet, then transfer to the crockpot.
- Add diced onion, minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Add broken noodles during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot topped with dollops of ricotta, shredded mozzarella, and fresh basil.

- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Adjust the pasta cooking time to prevent over-softening.
