- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped almonds or pecans
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and salt, stirring constantly until the mixture boils and turns a caramel color, about 5 minutes.
- Pour the toffee mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading evenly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the hot toffee.
- Let sit for 2-3 minutes, then spread melted chocolate smoothly over the surface.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top while the chocolate is still warm.
- Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces to serve.
