- 1 cup dried cherries or fresh cherries chopped
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
- Fold in cherries and chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until cookies are set but still soft inside.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
- Use dried cherries for an intensified cherry flavor or fresh cherries if preferred.
- For extra richness, add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
