- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a shallow dish, combine bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dredge chicken in breadcrumb mixture.
- Place chicken in the Crock-Pot and pour marinara sauce over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- In the last 30 minutes, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over chicken and cover to melt.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- You can use shredded chicken if preferred for quicker preparation.
- Serve with pasta or a side salad for a complete meal.
