Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 1 lb (450 g) beef sirloin or ground beef, sliced or crumbled
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet or pot over medium heat.
- Add beef slices or crumbled beef, cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add remaining butter and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add uncooked pasta and stir to coat with garlic butter. Pour in enough water or broth to cover the pasta, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
- Cook pasta until al dente, about 10 minutes, adding more water as needed.
- Stir in cooked beef, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use quality Parmesan for the best flavor.
- You can substitute ground beef or turkey for variety.
- Ensure to stir occasionally to prevent pasta from sticking.
