- For Streusel: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup cold butter, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- For Orange Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons orange juice, 1 teaspoon orange zest
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Mix in pumpkin puree, orange juice, and orange zest.
- Add dry ingredients gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Prepare streusel by combining flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, sprinkle streusel evenly on top.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 15 minutes, then drizzle with orange glaze.
Notes
For added flavor, incorporate chopped pecans into the streusel. Toast the streusel before sprinkling for extra crunch. Do not overmix batter to keep bread light and tender.
