Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds beef sirloin or flank steak, cubed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Start by trimming any excess fat from the beef and cutting it into bite-sized cubes. Season generously with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the fresh thyme or rosemary and stir well.
- Return the beef to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet to get a good sear on the beef.
- You can substitute beef with chicken breasts or pork tenderloin, adjusting cooking times accordingly.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
