- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with bread crumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown chicken for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
Notes
- You can use panko bread crumbs for extra crunch.
- Serve with spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
