Perfect for parties, gatherings, or a gourmet snack, this easy-to-make dish elevates any occasion with vibrant flavors and elegant presentation.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

  • fresh baguette or Italian bread slices
  • burrata cheese (about 8 oz)
  • ripe cherry tomatoes (1 cup), halved
  • fresh basil leaves (1/4 cup), chopped
  • extra virgin olive oil (3-4 tablespoons)
  • balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • garlic clove (1), peeled and halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast until golden and crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Rub each slice with the cut side of garlic.
  2. Combine cherry tomatoes, chopped basil, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently.
  3. Spread burrata cheese generously on each toasted bread slice. Spoon tomato mixture over the cheese. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze if desired. Garnish with additional basil leaves.

Notes

  • Prepare the tomato topping ahead and store in the fridge; toast the bread just before assembling.
  • Use fresh mozzarella or ricotta as substitutes for burrata if unavailable.
  • Serve immediately for best crunch and flavor.
