  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) of beef strips or sirloin, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine beef strips with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining oil. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry until crisp-tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet, drizzle with sesame oil, and stir. Cook for another 2 minutes to meld flavors. Add red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Slicing beef against the grain ensures maximum tenderness.
  • Use high heat to sear the meat and vegetables quickly, preserving texture and flavor.
  • For extra flavor, garnish with sliced green onions or toasted sesame seeds before serving.
