- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat milk, water, and butter until warm then combine with yeast, let sit until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and egg, knead until smooth. Let rise until doubled in size.
- On a floured surface, roll dough into a rectangle. Spread cream cheese mixture over the dough, sprinkle strawberries, brown sugar, and cinnamon evenly.
- Roll up tightly and cut into 12 slices. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix frosting ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls. Serve topped with extra strawberries and enjoy!
