  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat milk, water, and butter until warm then combine with yeast, let sit until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and egg, knead until smooth. Let rise until doubled in size.
  3. On a floured surface, roll dough into a rectangle. Spread cream cheese mixture over the dough, sprinkle strawberries, brown sugar, and cinnamon evenly.
  4. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 slices. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Mix frosting ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls. Serve topped with extra strawberries and enjoy!
