  • Total Time: 25 mins
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) honey garlic ground beef
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and oyster sauce (if using). Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Add remaining oil. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp, stirring frequently.
  4. Return beef to skillet. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir to coat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add cornstarch mixed with water, stirring until sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Notes

  • Use fresh broccoli for optimal texture and flavor.
  • High heat helps cook quickly and keeps broccoli crisp.
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce according to taste for desired sweetness and saltiness.
  • You can add sliced bell peppers or snap peas for extra flavor and nutrition.
