Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) honey garlic ground beef
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and oyster sauce (if using). Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a plate.
- Add remaining oil. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp, stirring frequently.
- Return beef to skillet. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir to coat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cornstarch mixed with water, stirring until sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
Notes
- Use fresh broccoli for optimal texture and flavor.
- High heat helps cook quickly and keeps broccoli crisp.
- Adjust honey and soy sauce according to taste for desired sweetness and saltiness.
- You can add sliced bell peppers or snap peas for extra flavor and nutrition.
