Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz of your favorite noodles (rice noodles, lo mein, or egg noodles)
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional for extra depth)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon honey or brown sugar
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Vegetable or bell peppers (optional for added color and flavor)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. Season sliced chicken with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken slices and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining oil. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), honey or brown sugar, and sesame oil to create a sticky, savory sauce.
- Add the cooked chicken and noodles back into the skillet. Toss to coat evenly and cook until heated through. Optional: stir-fry vegetables for 2-3 minutes if desired.
- Finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the amount of soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste for saltiness.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for added nutrition and color.
- For extra crunch, top with more sesame seeds or chopped peanuts.
