- 8 oz (225 g) of ramen or egg noodles
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
- Add soy sauce and hoisin sauce, stir to coat the beef.
- Mix in bell peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute.
- Combine cooked noodles with the beef mixture, toss well.
- Serve garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken or turkey for beef for a lighter option.
- Add a dash of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Use gluten-free noodles if needed.
