- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Pour over the cooked turkey and simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Steam broccoli until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Divide cooked rice into bowls, top with seasoned turkey mixture, broccoli, and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken or beef for turkey.
- Adjust soy sauce and honey to taste for preferred sweetness and saltiness.
- For a boost of flavor, add red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha.
