  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sliced scallions
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 20 store-bought wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 pound ground pork or chicken
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. In a bowl, combine ground pork or chicken with a pinch of salt, pepper, and half of the scallions.
  5. Place a teaspoon of filling onto each wonton wrapper and seal edges.
  6. Gently drop wontons into boiling broth and cook for about 5 minutes until tender.
