One-Pan Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Sausage is the ultimate easy ranch potato dinner, combining tender potatoes, savory sausage, and creamy ranch flavor that everyone loves. Perfect for busy weeknights, it offers maximum taste with minimal effort.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4-5 medium potatoes, diced (russet or Yukon gold)
  • 1 pound sausage (your choice of spicy or mild)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice the potatoes into bite-sized pieces and toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sausage and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove the sausage from the skillet.
  3. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet, then add the diced potatoes and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet with the potatoes. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the mixture and stir to coat.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover, and let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.

Notes

  • Let leftovers cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the microwave or on the stove, adding extra cheese or ranch seasoning if desired.
  • Pairs well with a fresh green salad, garlic bread, or steamed vegetables.
