Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well blended in a mixing bowl. Fold in the mashed bananas.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently. Incorporate nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool slightly before removing from the pan. Slice and serve.
