Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef — for a hearty and protein-packed base
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets — adds crunch and nutrition
- 3 cloves garlic, minced — the star of the sauce
- 1/4 cup honey — for natural sweetness
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce — adds umami & depth
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil — for nutty aroma and flavor
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated — enhances the savory taste
- Optional: crushed red pepper flakes — for a spicy kick
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions — for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add Broccoli and Aromatics: Stir in broccoli and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Pour in the Honey Garlic Sauce: Add the sauce to the skillet, tossing to coat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
