Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, softened butter, and sugars. Beat until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
