- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef until cooked through. Transfer to the slow cooker.
- Add chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper, diced tomatoes, beans, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and beef broth.
- Stir to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- You can add diced jalapenos for extra heat.
- Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro for added flavor.
- For a thicker chili, simmer uncovered for the last 30 minutes.
