Hauntingly Delicious Gelatin Glimmers are the perfect spooky treats for your Halloween celebration. These creepy yet tasty jello shots feature eerie eyeball designs and vibrant colors, making them a fun and impressive centerpiece for any Halloween party. Easy to prepare and customizable, they bring both fun and flavor to your festivities.

  • Total Time: 3 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12-15 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package unflavored gelatin (gelatin powder)
  • 2 cups fruit juice or flavored gelatin mix (e.g., grape, cherry, or green apple)
  • Green, red, or purple food coloring
  • White gummy candies (for eyeballs)
  • Black edible marker or mini chocolate chips (for pupils)
  • Shot glasses or small plastic cups for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the unflavored gelatin with 1 cup of fruit juice to bloom the gelatin. Once absorbed, heat the remaining juice and dissolve the gelatin mixture completely. Add food coloring for a spooky hue.
  2. Pour the liquid gelatin into shot glasses or small plastic cups. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until fully set. Use a rapid chilling device for quicker setting if needed.
  3. While setting, prepare the eyeballs by attaching black edible marker or mini chocolate chips onto white gummy candies to create pupils.
  4. Once the gelatin is firm, gently place the gummy eyeballs onto the surface of each shot, pressing lightly to secure. For extra spooky effects, add red gelatin around the eyeballs to mimic exposed tissue.

Notes

  • Keep the gelatin eyeballs refrigerated until ready to serve.
  • Store in an airtight container or cover with plastic wrap for up to 24 hours for optimal freshness and appearance.
  • Experiment with different gummy sizes and colors for a more realistic or creative look.
