Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine Cajun seasoning, paprika, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Rub this spice mixture evenly over the chicken breasts. Marinate for at least 15 minutes for maximum flavor.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 6–8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to lift any browned bits. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over each piece. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for a zesty touch.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for a more aromatic flavor.
- Adjust cayenne pepper to control spiciness level.
- For a creamier sauce, stir in a little butter or cream cheese.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables to complete the meal.
