  • 2 cups sliced apples (Granny Smith or Fuji)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the crust by mixing flour, oats, white sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the dish.
  3. Arrange sliced apples evenly over the crust.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir in heavy cream, vanilla, and sea salt. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Pour caramel sauce over apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
