- 2 cups sliced apples (Granny Smith or Fuji)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the crust by mixing flour, oats, white sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the dish.
- Arrange sliced apples evenly over the crust.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir in heavy cream, vanilla, and sea salt. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Pour caramel sauce over apples.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
