- 1.5 pounds beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced into strips
- 2 bell peppers, sliced (red and green)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Place sliced beef in the slow cooker.
- Add sliced peppers, onion, and minced garlic on top.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Optional: Mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and stir into the pot during the last 30 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Mince garlic for a more intense flavor.
- You can substitute ground beef for sliced steak for a different texture.
