- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove core from cabbage and blanch leaves in boiling water until pliable. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, sautéed onions, salt, and pepper.
- Place a spoonful of meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll up, tucking in sides.
- Arrange rolls in a baking dish, top with tomato sauce.
- Bake covered for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes.
