Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, sliced thinly against the grain
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining 1 tbsp oil to the wok. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Stir in broccoli and cook for 2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
- Return beef to the wok. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce; stir to coat evenly.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the wok to thicken the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until sauce has thickened.
- Finish with sesame oil, toss to combine, and serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Use thinly sliced beef for quick cooking and tender texture.
- You can add sliced bell peppers or carrots for extra vegetables.
- Adjust soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste for saltiness.
