- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)
- Chocolate sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, water, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and add flour all at once, stirring vigorously until the dough forms a ball.
- Allow the dough to cool slightly, then transfer to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Pip small bites onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Once baked, toss the churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- Serve warm with chocolate sauce if desired.
Notes
- Ensure the dough is slightly cooled before piping to prevent cracking.
- You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat briefly before serving.
- For an extra crunch, bake a little longer until crisp.
