Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 cup bread crumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Start by cutting the chicken breasts into uniform strips to ensure even cooking. Pat them dry with paper towels to help the coating stick better.
- In a shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Set up a breading station: place beaten eggs in one bowl and the seasoned bread crumb mixture in another. Dip each chicken strip into the egg, then coat thoroughly with the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup. Arrange the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil or brush with melted butter.
- Bake the tenders for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). For extra crunch, broil for 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye.
Notes
- Use panko bread crumbs for maximum crunchiness.
- Ensure chicken strips are uniform in size for even cooking.
- For healthier options, substitute bread crumbs with crushed oats or almond flour.
- Check doneness with a meat thermometer to reach internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
