  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) of your choice of beef, chicken, or sausage, sliced
  • 4 large potatoes, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by slicing the potatoes into thin rounds for even cooking. Slice your meat of choice into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced meat and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and arrange the potato slices in a single layer. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Lower the heat to medium. Add the cooked meat back into the skillet with the potatoes. Pour in the heavy cream or sour cream, then sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top. Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot for a truly comforting creamy dinner that everyone will love.

Notes

  • You can substitute the meat with chicken or sausage for variation.
  • For extra flavor, add chopped onions or bell peppers during cooking.
  • Use a non-stick skillet for easier cleanup and even cooking.
  • Ensure potatoes are sliced thinly for crispy edges.
