Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly, and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until melted and sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Return cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon sauce over top, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes to absorb flavors. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Adding mushrooms or spinach can enhance flavor and nutrition.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently on the stove or microwave, adding a splash of cream or broth if the sauce thickens.
