- 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in spices: garam masala, turmeric, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add chicken chunks and cook until browned on all sides.
- Pour in tomato sauce and simmer for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked through and flavors meld.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, marinate chicken in spices and yogurt for 30 minutes before cooking.
- You can substitute cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
