- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 8 oz egg noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat until cooked through. Remove excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until translucent.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stirring to combine, and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce heat to low, then stir in sour cream until well combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the beef mixture over cooked egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine while cooking the mushrooms.
- Use full-fat sour cream for a richer sauce.
- Can be made ahead and reheated gently before serving.
