  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated tortellini
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add carrots, celery, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Return sausage to the pot and add tortellini. Cook until tortellini is tender, about 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
