  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice the potatoes evenly and set aside. Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Add potatoes and sauté for about 3 minutes, then set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ranch dressing, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss with cooked potatoes and sausage until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.

Notes

  • Use freshly sliced potatoes or parboiled potatoes for quicker cooking.
  • Try different sausages like kielbasa or turkey sausage for variation.
  • Add chopped green onions or bacon bits for extra flavor.
  • Make ahead by preparing the dish and refrigerating; reheat in the oven or microwave.
