Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 oz) of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (optional but highly recommended)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine chopped cooked chicken, shredded cheese, chopped green onions, mayonnaise, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined to form a flavorful filling.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture onto each triangle. Roll the dough tightly from the wide end to the tip, forming a neat roll. Place seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the assembled rolls evenly across the baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Brush the tops with melted butter for extra crispiness, if desired.
Notes
- For best results, use freshly cooked and shredded chicken for a moist filling.
- Adding bacon bits enhances flavor but can be omitted for a lighter version.
- Prepare these rolls ahead of time and refrigerate before baking for an even more convenient meal.
- Adjust seasoning to taste; adding a pinch of cayenne pepper can give a spicy kick.
