- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 lb cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add heavy cream and stir until heated through.
- Add shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Mix in cooked macaroni and shredded chicken. Add barbecue sauce and combine well.
- Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- You can substitute grilled chicken for shredded cooked chicken.
- For extra smoky flavor, add a splash of liquid smoke to the sauce.
- Serve hot garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro.
