- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook bacon until crispy, then set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sear chicken until golden brown on both sides.
- Place chicken in a baking dish, brush with barbecue sauce, and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Crisscross bacon strips over the chicken and sprinkle with sliced green onions.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sliced mushrooms or bell peppers during cooking.
- Adjust barbecue sauce quantity to taste for more or less sweetness.
